1.1      Entrepreneurs program – Growth Services - Grants of $20,000

Assists businesses to grow as they go forward. Improve your capability to trade and export in global markets, and improve your supply chain performance.

A facilitator will undertake a free review of your business and prepare a roadmap document which will provide a series of business improvement recommendations. Your business can apply for a government grant to assist you implement one or more of these recommendations from the roadmap plan to grow your business.

Growth services provide coaching and support to:

·        Build skills for your business

·        Find opportunities for growth

·        Help you action the recommendations of your roadmap

Once your free Roadmap has been documented and key recommendation to grow are made, each Growth Roadmap client eligible for a matched Growth Grant of up to $20,000 to help implement key actions from the free business review undertaken by the Entrepreneur program facilitator.

Eligibility:

a)      Have an ABN

b)     Trading for at least three years

c)      Turnover of between $1.5M and $100M

1.2            Boost Growth Program - Agriculture

The Federal Government recently announced the Boost Growth Program to assist with recovery from COVID 19. The Federal Government has provided 100,000 places for businesses to train staff to improve business operations and performance through Registered Training Organisations. This provides Agriculture businesses with a significant opportunity to up-skill your workforce and participate in this vital business improvement program through completing a training and implementation support program.

The Boost Growth Program enables us to access to Certificate IV and Advanced Diploma in Agriculture with sufficient Government assistance to be able to run the programme with as few as six participants from your business or by combining your business with other local businesses.

To make this opportunity more accessible to small and medium growers, the participants do not need to meet the normal eligibility conditions, only that they are an Australian citizen and not receiving Job Keeper.

This is a very rare opportunity to access this programme that has been acknowledge as being unique in offering growers customised business coaching and advice to drive and implement continuous improvement, reduce the cost of growing and create a more sustainable business. Growers that are currently enrolled in this programme are implementing improvements that have reduced their labour costs by as much $96,000. No other programme is tailored to the Agriculture industry like this one. You need to be quick as the Government is going to cap the number of participants at 100,000 nationally.

2.            Victorian Government Grants. Boost Your Business Voucher $50,000

The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) has established Boost Your Business Vouchers to support Victorian businesses to become more productive, employ more people, improve market access and in general, increase their scale, diversity and profitability.

Background

The Victorian Government launched the Boost Your Business Voucher Program (BYB) in December 2017 to support Victorian businesses to become more productive, employ more people, improve market access and in general, increase their size, diversity and profitability. The last round was December 2019.

BYB funds Victorian businesses through distinct streams targeted at Victorian Government policies and strategies. Funding is provided through Vouchers and is available to projects that support the BYB objectives. Individual funding streams have additional objectives and requirements.

Vouchers are used by Victorian businesses or organisations in exchange for services that will build their capabilities including:

Business Capability – services to assist companies to position them to support future growth.

The three main objectives of the Boost Your Business Voucher Program (BYB) are to:

  • Increase the number of Victorian businesses entering new export markets and securing supply chain opportunities;

  • Increase the number of Victorian businesses developing and commercialising new products and services through research and development and generating improved productivity through process innovation;

  • Improve the capability of Victorian businesses to accelerate growth and realise new opportunities.

Doing Business Better is a registered Service Provider under the Boost Your Business voucher program under the following streams:

  1. Advanced Manufacturing

  2. Food Innovation

  3. Social Enterprise Capability

Each Voucher Recipient may be able to receive up to:

  • $50,000 under the Advanced Victorian Manufacturing Stream

  • $50,000 under the Food Innovation Stream

  • $25,000 under the Social Enterprise Capability Stream

Eligible Projects funded through a Boost Your Business Voucher are growth orientated activities undertaken by the Recipient that, by using the expertise of a Registered Service Provider, will assist the Recipient to become more productive, employ more people, create market access and in general increase

Eligible Companies:

  • Be a legally structured business registered in Victoria with an Australian Business Number (ABN

  • Meet any co-contribution requirements with eligible cash expenditure

  • Meet all industrial relations obligations as an employer in accordance with the National Employment Standards

  • Have an operating presence in Victoria

  • Employ at least 20 FTE (full-time equivalent) staff or have an annual turnover of greater than $1.5 million (preference will be given to Applicants that employ less than 200 people)

  • Conduct the majority of proposed activities in Victoria in partnership with a Registered Service Provider

  • Agree to participate in future program evaluation activity.
